Regular Council Meeting, 7/18/2018

City Council met for its second regular meeting of July on 7/18/2018, only a week after the prior meeting due to the earlier meeting being pushed back for the holiday.  The agenda was light again in terms of ordinances but there was a great deal of new hire news.

With both Police and Fire Department hires the chambers were filled with some of the hardest working folks in the City as both departments were in attendance for a big welcome.

Zachary Cogley, Firefighter/Paramedic, Fire Department
Meredith Hotchkiss, Patrol Officer, Police Department
Jeffery Heard, Police Sergeant, Police Department
Suzanne Perry, Office Administrator, Police Department

One additional hire was also announced, with Derrick Parham retiring as City Manager, City Council approved an ordinance for the new City Manager – John Jones.  Mr Jone’s first day will be August 20th and can be reached at
