City Council met for its second regular meeting of September on 9/19 with the most significant item on the agenda being the review and passage of a Community Reinvestment Area (CRA). A CRA give the City a chance to encourage capital improvements in the designated areas through offering tax breaks – with each one being reviewed and assessed independently. The central business corridor included through Springdale’s downtown could benefit from this sort of capital investment which I support (and passed 6-1 with Councilperson Shroyer dissenting).
