City Council met for its first (and only) regular meeting of August on 8/15/2018, with the other regular meeting canceled at the prior meeting. The agenda was light again with the highlight of the meeting being a special ordinance commending City Administrator Parham on his many years of service to the city with his upcoming retirement starting at the end of the month. Although I only worked with Mr. Parham for a short period of time it was clear from the testimonials at the recent Planning Committee meeting and at this Council meeting that his long time service was a credit to the City and we all benefited from his tireless commitment to the City.
