City Council met for its first regular meeting of December on 12/5 with several housekeeping items on the agenda (finance and administrative) including:
- Finance administrative items (closing unused accounts, adding computer modernization fee for Mayors Court, City Engineer contract update)
- Appointments to the Board of Health (Rita Hart, Kevin Ketring)
- A reading (no action) of the proposed Earning Tax change
- Change in Law Director to Strauss & Troy
Of note to people who have been around the City a long while – the change in form providing Law Director services is not a common item. I had a good working relationship with the prior firm the new firm was vetted by both the Rules and Law committee of City Council as well as the City Administration. The firm was recommended by the Council committee (while also at a lower expected cost than previous contracts) I supported the change.
